Our company history
1928
The Leuna Carboxylation Plant is located on the site of the former IG Farben plant, which was developed in 1916. After 1945, the plant was renamed the Leuna-Werke chemical site.
1961
The carboxylation plant has been in existence since 1961 and was initially used for the production of salicylic acid and later for small quantities of para-hydroxybenzoic acid
1996
Starting in 1996, the former owner Rhone Poulenc/Rhodia made extensive investments here, which today form the basis for our high-quality production.
2005
In 2005, the plant was taken over by Infatrade (UK) Ltd and LCP Leuna Carboxylation Plant GmbH was founded.
2006
One year later, LCP Leuna Carboxylation Plant GmbH developed its own process for the production of technically pure potassium sulphate. This significantly expanded our product range.
2012
In September 2012, LCP Leuna Carboxylation Plant GmbH was taken over by Polyplastics Co. Ltd , which has successfully continued and further developed the company with a view to the future.
